Broken Parts
Sorry to have been MIA for a while. Tomorrow I have to go in and get some parts fixed. So hopefully everything will work out well and all my parts will be in working order for Valentines Day.
Mommy needs to get back out there and sell some more Slumber Parties =)
Wish me luck readers
Go Gators GGGGGOOOOOO…
Ok I have been a Gator fan for the last 30 years. So me rooting for them isn’t a huge surprise. However the win is so oh so fucking sweet. I feel sorry for the Sooner coach but not that much.
I love my boys and I will always love them and support them… I’m just glad that the best boys won
The Dash- I need to live my life more according to this
The Dash
(copyright 1996 Linda Ellis)
I read of a man who stood to speak
at the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
from the beginning…to the end.
He noted that first came the date of her birth
and spoke of the following date with tears,
but he said what mattered most of all
was the dash between those years.
For that dash represents all the time
that she spent alive on earth…
and now only those who loved her
know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not, how much we own;
the cars….the house…the cash.
What matters is how we live and love
and how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard…
are there things you’d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
that can still be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough
to consider what’s true and real,
and always try to understand
the way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger,
and show appreciation more
and love the people in our lives
like we’ve never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect,
and more often wear a smile…
remembering that this special dash
might only last a little while.
So, when your eulogy is being read
with your life’s actions to rehash…
would you be proud of the things they
say about how you spend your dash?

I just might be.
It took me until today to notice that when I move my mouse, the snow follows.
OH LOOK…. bright shiny
MERRY CHRISTMAS
In honor of Christmas, I give you one of my favorite videos
We can’t have Christmas without this
This is awesome
I Love Christmas and Christmas lights so every year I spend way too much time on YouTube looking at stuff like this-
Hi, Hello, What’s up
I know I have been MIA for awhile. I have been a huge slacker when it comes to blogging. My friend (HI SHEILA) told me and some other friends that we need to get back to blogging, so here I am.
So what’s happened since my last post…
I’m back to doing Slumber Parties full-time – So if you want to book a party or need some products, let me know.
My son turned 13. Yeah, bring on the teenage years.
We got a new president. WOO HOO
Other than that nothing much is really going on.
I promise I will update more frequently. Really I will
Thank You
I have had many family members and friends who have served in the armed forces. I just want to say Thank you for protecting our freedom and for putting your lives on the line for the millions and millions of us.
Nothing I can say will ever convey how much love I have for you so please understand when I say thank you it is with tears running down my face and I can’t express how much love I have for you.
Coolness
This week my son thinks I’m cool. Why do you ask? Because I studied French in high school, which is what he is studying now. He can’t get enough of me this week and I am loving every second of it since I know as soon as it started it will be over
I’m going to enjoy it while it lasts.
First date done.
I didn’t get a whole lot of details but apparently it went well. D got a tattoo. A temporary one. It was a red dragon. E picked it out. I guess she indicated that she likes boys with tats. D actually asked if I would allow him to get a permanent tat. I had to explain that I am that mom that will not allow her 12 yr old son to get a permanent mark that impresses the girls right now.
E, I guess have been walking around with E+D=LOVE on her face for the last week.
God help me. I don’t think I am strong enough to survive the dating years
It should be interesting
So tomorrow afternoon we are going to the Sun Prairie Corn Fest.
With the parents of the girl D asked out. We are close friends with the parents and in typical parent fashion we have been teasing the shit out of the kids since they haven’t seen each other since the great text contest of July. I think D is a little scared but excited at the same time. Either way it should be a great time.
If you are in the Madison area this weekend you should really make an attempt to head out to the Corn Fest. My friend Sarah has busted her ass to make sure this festival goes off without a hitch. So go support her and the city of Sun Prairie and eat some corn.
