OY! I forgot how hot it is here. Everyone says it’s not the heat it’s the humidity, Well when it’s 94 outside I don’t think it matters very much either way. Since we arrived life has been pretty hectic. Lots of little things going wrong. Our son’s TV died, then the car battery died from the heat. I haven’t gotten a PT job yet but I have an interview tomorrow at an engineering firm. We’ll see how it goes. Still going to do Slumber Parties but even that has been hard here. I need to get out and meet some people and network. My friends that know me would never accuse me of being shy, but if I don’t know you then I have a difficult time just walking up to you and starting a conversation.
I’m also deeply worried about our son starting school next month. He’s a great kid and did well in his last school, but they had all been friends since kindergarden. He is going into the 6th grade and I just worry so much that he won’t make friends or that he will get beat up. My husband says I am worrying for nothing, He’s an outgoing kid and will be fine. I hope so. I am so protective of him, But I don’t want to be THAT mom. We have to take him for a physical for school tomorrow. That should be fun. He is all registered and ready to go except for this one thing.
